Hello, my name is Robby Z. Owner of Robby Buys Houses. Thanks for stopping by my site.
I grew up in Palmerton, Pennsylvania and enjoyed everything the local area provided.
I played soccer, fished Beltsville, Mauch Chunk, and the Lehigh River. I also enjoyed snowboarding and even worked at Blue Mountain Resort.
I graduated from Palmerton Areas School district in Carbon County. Home of the Blue Bombers. I then attended Penn State University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science. During college, I fished on the Penn State Bass Fishing team.
My first job using my fisheries degree was in Pinedale, Wyoming. I conducted fisheries surveys in high mountain lakes and did electrofishing samples in streams and rivers. It was a very strenuous and interesting job that included remote overnight camping and a few run ins with grizzly bears.
Once my contract ended, I came back to Pennsylvania to work with the Fish and Boat Commission in Bushkill, as well as working in the fishing department at the local Cabella’s.
My next job took me to Pittsburgh, where I worked as an environmental consultant for four years. We sampled and facilitated permit work with the DEP and EPA in conjunction with mining and gas companies throughout western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
After my time in Pittsburg, I discovered selling used clothes on eBay. I did this full time while continuing to work as an environmental consultant.
My newfound eBay business allowed me to pursue my love of travel. I backpacked Europe for 3 months where I attended Oktoberfest in Munich, drove mopeds through Tuscany Italy, swam in the grotto Azzurra in Capri, ran with the bulls in Pamplona Spain, and even bungee jumped off a gondola in Switzerland.
I also spent a lot of time living throughout the United States. I lived in Napa Valley, Anchorage Alaska, Los Angeles, and then eventually found my way back to Pennsylvania for a spell.
Wanting a change of scenery, I moved to Delray Beach, Florida and eventually ended up in Clewiston, Florida next to Lake Okeechobee. So I could continue my fishing tournament hobby.
My love of travel also led me to meeting my now wife. We were married in the Philippines and decided we wanted to start a family. This led us to move back to where I grew up so we could be closer to my family.
Today, we live locally in Palmerton, Pennsylvania where we are raising our daughter. And enjoying everything the area has to offer as a family.
